I'm Ed and this is my PEZ collection

Behind the scenes of EdsPEZLog
I thought I should finally create some kind of description for this blog. Shortly you’ll find an edited version of this post in the About link at the top of the page. Exciting. Back when my collection was still in its early stages, it was easy to display and keep track of. I used to reorganise them into sets or put them in the order of the colours in the visible spectrum, or alphabetical order, or whatever I felt like, all the time. Once my collection grew to over a few hundred they became a bit harder to display; apart from a select few they mostly spend their days in shoeboxes under my bed. Another problem I often had was people telling me they’d seen some PEZ somewhere but hadn’t bought them for me incase I already had them. Sometimes they’d ask me, but even I’d have a hard time remembering exactly which Hello Kitty dispenser I was missing, or what colour stem my Shrek dispenser had, or whether it was the European or US Tinkerbell that I was missing.
Thus the concept of EdsPEZLog was born. It provides me with a method of displaying my collection to a much larger audience and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Plus I can quickly search whilst hunting for PEZ to make sure I don’t miss out on ones I don’t have or buy a load of ones I already do.
So I got photographer Clare Trotter around and we set up a PEZ sized studio. Actually she had to come back because in the space of a couple of months I went a bit wild and bought a load more. All of the studio set up shots were taken by her. At the time of writing there’s only one photo not taken by her and that was clearly taken with my phone.
If you want to please talk to me! Especially if you want to like trade PEZ or some crazy thing like that. That would be awesome.
